It is not just beer that awaits you at Brussels, there are even more.

Rue de la Loi, Brussels

Food is celebrated in Brussels, Belgium all year round.  As to what are the top 5 events and happenings that await you at Brusselicious, let us give it to you.

1. Dining in the Sky
Proven to be a spectacular experience, Dinner in the Sky is a gastronomic adventure with 22 diners suspended high in the air through a crane.  The restaurant lets you enjoy your meal strapped on safety belt, with a Michelin-starred chef preparing your meal in front of you.  This once-in-a-lifetime dining event might cost you an arm and a leg, but it is well worth it.

2. Tram Experience
The white, sleek and modern décor, inside a tram, welcomes you to an ultimate gastronomic experience.  With the splendid view of the region’s most attractive roads, you will surely enjoy Belgium classic dishes with a twist.  The focus on the use of the freshest local produce, as prepared by seasoned chefs, makes it an irresistible dining must-do.

3. Dining with the Dinosaurs
This one surreal idea is made possible at the Museum of Natural Sciences.  The visually-striking Gallery of Dinosaurs is transformed into a gastronomic venue for a unique series of meals.  This is created for visitors to enjoy the five different senses – taste, sight, smell, touch and sound – all in a one-of-a-kind atmosphere.

4. Brusselicious, the Festival
The main highlight of the gastronomic feat, the Brusselicious Festival, will run from 6-9 September 2012.  It is bringing together only the best of Belgium's gourmet influences, chefs and producers. Bois de la Cambre will be transformed into one giant food venue.  You have a choice of where to go - cooking classes, chefs’ demonstrations, food sampling, wine tasting and so much more.  The best part is you don’t have to pay a dime for admission!

5. The Chip Walk
Lastly, chips in Belgium are the equivalent of fries.  Chip stalls abound, as it offers the irresistible smell from these friteries. The chips come in paper cones, overflowing with golden, salted and crispy chips. In November, Brusselicious will be running a competition to find the best fritkots in town.
