To get to the Pyramids of Giza, you can use Metro Line 2 now runs from Cairo into Giza. You will get off at Giza Station and then use the green public 900 and 997 buses that will take you to the Pyramids that are 8 kilometers due southwest. Alternatively, you can use taxis from Cairo or bus routes 355 or 357.

The Pyramids of Giza are still one of the 7 ancient wonders of the world. The Egypt of the past was a great power and therefore a good place to sample the ancient world. A visit here is not only awe inspiring, but also a historical study. You will be doing yourself a great disservice by not visiting the pyramids at least once in your lifetime.
