Wine Flies Free from 29 West Coast cities on Alaska Airlines. The program debuted in 2007 to enable passengers to transport wine from Sonoma/Santa Rosa, and Alaska Airlines has now nearly doubled participating departure airports.

Located in Boise County is the Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area, which is run by the non-profit organization Bogus Basin Recreation Association. This part of Boise National Forest becomes most popular during skiing season, which starts at Thanksgiving up until April 15.
